What Would Your Character Say/Do Wednesday

I’m always looking for questions to ask my characters; anything to pull them out of their shell and see how they act in foreign territory. I wondered what it would be like if my characters participated in other Middle Grade and Young Adult stories. How would they act in Narnia, or at Hogwarts? It’s interesting to see how your characters act in a completely different setting.

Interview questions for your character based on “Fabelhaven.”

1)What if a trusted friend betrayed your character? How would they feel? What would it take to earn their trust back?

2)If your character was given “dark powers” would they use them for good or evil? How could they make use of dark powers? What kind of dark powers would they want?

3)If your character was forced to wear a “truth chain,” what truths would he/she hat to have to tell?

4)What kind of potion would your character have Tanu make up for him/her?

5)If your character cold have one artifact to use as they wished, which one would it be? And how would they use it.
a)Sands of Sanctity for healing
b)Chromometer to control time
c)Oculus- unlimited sight to any place.
d)Translocator-control space, move from place to place
e)Font of immortality- for everlasting life.

  1. Whoa--those are some pretty instense questions. A really good way to get to know your characters though!

Oh, and your cat is adorable! I have a feeling Skitter will end up like that. She already getting heavy around the middle (and almost as big at Little Tart--who is 8 months older!)

  2. Gotta love the goo, Justine. If only I didn't have my own share.

  3. Cool questions. My questions tend to depend on the character and situation/story. On the other hand, the answers can also guide where my outline is going to go.

  5. Jude has a good point. I really should post my answers. So here goes. I'll go ahead and use Milo Thimbleberry as my character. (He's the main character in Zombie Rabbit, and yes, he is.)

    1) If a friend betrayed Milo, he'd be pretty mad at first. But he's pretty laid back, so eventually he'd forgive them. To earn back his trust though, it would take something really over the top! Once Milo decided to forget it he'd stick to that and banish any lingering doubts.

2)Milo would definately try to use any power for good, but he's a bit of a bumbler at times so... Like he would like to be able to shoot acidic vomit at people like the LIP, but he's have to be careful. And that's were the bumbling comes in.

    3) He'd hate to have to tell what he was really thinking when he saw the Sirens. Bonnie would chew him out for days if she knew. Also that he cheated on his "Rabit Lore of North America" exam, and got an A he didn't deserve.

    4) A potion to make his taste super yummy, so that the vultures and other scavengers that eat rotten meat will leave him alone.

5)Definately the Translocator, his life would have been so much easier if he could have just jumped to the Lab. plus a and e wouldn't even be considerations for a zombie.
