Hey, you know those cool words they make you type when you comment on a blog, the ones that prevent spammers from commenting? If they were real words, what would they mean? See if you can come up with a definition and use it in a sentence.
Today’s word is: Poggia
HAVE FUN! AND HAPPY FRIDAY?
Poggia: This is what I called my porch When I lived in New Orleans.
“Let’s all go out on the poggia for a julip.”
Hmm Poggia? The medical name for those addicted to the pogo-stick?
ReplyDeleteIt's a new kid trend-- it's all the rage. You feed and care for your poggia in a virtual world! ;--)
ReplyDeletepoggia - the kind of poking kids do when they want their parents to wake up. Maybe I'm just bitter about my morning...
ReplyDeleteA new type of bacon with twice the fat. ;)
ReplyDeleteThese are all great. Thanks everyone.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa,
ReplyDeleteWell, the linguist in me couldn't resist. Poggiare is an Italian verb that means to lean or rest. However, Poggio means knoll.
So I couldn't come up with a word of my own just because this word is "too" Italian for me ;)
A game they play in south America, which involves a pogo.
ReplyDeleteTee hee. Haven't you ever wondered what a pig's curly tail was called??? ;)
ReplyDeleteHey! You should check out the winners of my contest I posted this morning! ;-)
